Maskull Lasserre
I love Maskull’s carved sculptures. These series of sculptures featured on BOOOOOOOM! are a little more complex than the last sculptures that were featured on the site (which you can see here)
I just love how these animals exist inside the wood or as one within two objects. I think the piano would be my favorite sculpture because it looks like the beetle is bursting out the corner of the piano keys, as if it was the spirit of this piano escaping! Well, anyway, the detail of the carvings and the way that I can allow my imagination to create a story behind these snapshots of life, makes me a fan.
